Why should we learn languages? Learning languages are important these days in order to communicate with each other and understand each other. The Spanish and English languages are the most common languages that are commonly used. There are approximately twenty one countries in the world which speaks Spanish and it is their main language only a few percent of the world speaks English but somehow English has been a universal language due to globalization and ties between countries. Mostly people will learn other languages because of business transactions with other countries but this should not be limited through that, one must learn other languages to know the culture and the people of that country when they travel or study abroad.

Valencia, Spain has two languages, the Valencian and the Spanish language, though the Valencian language is also spoken in some parts of France, Italy and Andorra. Learning languages is important especially learning the Valencian language. Knowing the Spanish and Valencian will be of great help when you will visit Valencia or any other places in Spain. In order to know a culture and the people of the country is to know its language. Learning the language is bringing down any communication barriers between other cultures.

In Valencia, not all speak English, even the simple English world ‘Hello’ they wouldn’t understand it and they wouldn’t even pay attention to you whenever you are in the public place but will try to communicate with you even if you speak a little of the basic Spanish like ‘Hola’. This is also an effort that you are willing to understand and willing to communicate with them.  This is important to establish ties with the locals, also being comfortable with yourselves when you interact with each other. Learning its language would give you another perspective about the culture of Valencia.  Knowing its language is also not limiting yourself from learning from their culture and what they can also learn from you. They say that knowing another language is also having a new life and a new culture.
